Planning as a guest
Itara may save planner progress in your browser so you can continue where you left off. A secure cookie keeps guest trips connected to the browser that created them until they expire or move to an account.
Accounts and saved trips
Our account provider may process sign-in sessions and store your account profile. Itara stores your planner answers, itineraries, packing and reservation notes, purchases, and limited account-security records. Access controls are designed to keep each trip private to its owner.
Payments
Stripe processes checkout and card information. Itara stores identifiers and reconciliation details such as Checkout Session, Payment Intent, customer, Price, amount, currency, status, refund state, and the related trip owner. Itara does not store complete card details. Access is added only after Stripe confirms the purchase.
Supabase primarily handles email verification and password recovery. Resend may process transactional purchase or trip-ready email when configured. Messages include a secure trip link but not reservation confirmation details.
Travel-data providers
Planner information needed to answer your request may be processed by Google Maps Platform for destination, place, route, map, and photo data, and by Open-Meteo for weather data. Itara distinguishes provider facts from its own timing and cost estimates.
Google content is subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms and the Google Privacy Policy. Weather attribution is shown as “Weather data by Open-Meteo.com.”
Cookies and device storage
Itara uses cookies for authentication refresh and guest ownership. Browser storage keeps drafts and preferences responsive. Blocking required cookies can prevent saved-trip recovery.
Deletion and retention
You can remove individual trips or request account deletion from Account settings. Deleted trips leave normal views and links. Limited financial and security records may be retained for refunds, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
Your choices and responsibility
Itara does not request precise browser geolocation automatically. Use Restart or clear this site’s browser data to remove locally cached planner state. Account and cloud-trip deletion require the in-product controls. Confirm bookings, prices, hours, weather, and availability directly with providers.
